As a family of 4 with a 16 year old and 20 year old it was alot of fun! We took the bus from Durango to Silverton. We were so glad in the end that we took the bus to Silverton instead of the train. Our jeep guide was Mace and he was very knowledgeable about the area up to the California Pass. He even had a book with lots of pictures he would stop and show us all about the area from years past. We took the train back from Silverton to Durango. We were exhausted from the 3-3.5 hour ride, but it was an experience. The scenery was absolutely beautiful! It got boring after about 1 hour. We took a rest day in between the Jeep ride and rafting. It was much needed!! Our rafting guide was Zach and he was amazing! We learned lots of neat facts and places along the river. Would definitely recommend going on both Mild to Wild trips! The rafting was our favorite and we wished we had done a full day trip instead of a half day trip!!

We were fortunate to be able to take a Silverton Jeep tour with our guide Marty and a Animas River rafting trip with our guide Zach. The Jeep tour was on a rainy day and Marty was prepared with rain gear for all. Marty was informative, enjoyable and accomadating and the trip was fantastic. Our rafting trip was on a beautiful sunny Durango morning and Zach was an excellent guide and local area mentor. He was full of knowledge and allowed us to be involved with managing the raft and even took us surfing. What a blast. Both experiences were first rate and I would not even think about choosing another tour company. In fact we are going down the upper Salt River in Arizona next spring and we know who we are going to call for that trip,,,Mild2Wild. Thanks again for all your help in creating some lasting memories for our family.

Just returned from a half day trip on the lower animas with mild2 wild rafting company. This was the first time rafting for our 9 and 13 year olds. From start to finish this was a wonderful family friendly trip. Our guide, Renee, was a superb guide who put safety first and Fun a close second. I highly recommend asking for Renee. She is not only a talented guide but professional in her demeanor. The highest compliment I can give this company is that when we return to Durango in the future we will be hiring them again. enjoy your time on the river!
