My husband and I took our 7- and 10-year-old kids on the tour with Charlotte and her horse Jake....it exceeded all expectations! My kids said it “was so interesting” and they “didn’t miss a word!” I 100% agree. It was interesting, fun, entertaining, educational, beautiful, and so much more-but never boring! I cannot believe so much fascinating information and stories are packed into this quaint area! It was the best tour I have taken in any city!

We enjoyed our historic buggy ride through Beaufort. The gentleman who was our tour guide was knowledgeable and entertaining.

Southern Rose Buggy Tours. A ride on the buggy tour is the best way to see the city of Beaufort. It would take quite a effort to see this city if you had to go on foot. Riding in a slow buggy is so convenient. It takes you in a circuitous route and highlights the most interesting and special sights. And with the high temperatures here in the low country this saves your strength!! We had a lovely tour guide by the name of Anastasia. She guided the very spirited horse named Blaze. The guide was informative, playful and amusing. We had a wonderful time. She explained how well the horses were treated and care for. We were glad to hear it. A great way to see this charming city.
