Byodo-In Temple

126
North Shore Macadamia

Our driver was Tyrone he was awesome, he catered to our 6 yr old sons antics and conversations, by the end of the day the whole bus knew Caleb was the unofficial 2nd tour guide. Tyrone was knowledgeable and funny and made the whole day. Our family of six included 2 teens and the 6 yr old and three adults and everyone enjoyed themselves. Each stop was plenty of time. The only thing we wish could’ve been different was having the snorkeling at the end of the trip Because being covered and sand and being wet for the last half was slightly uncomfortable, but logistically we understood that wouldn’t work. Other than that it was a perfect day. Thanks for everything Tyrone! Caleb says hi

This tour is a must especially if its your first time in hawaii! You get to learn and visit the entire island! All the stops were beautiful and instagram worthy, recommend doing this your first day so you learn about the different places to visit the rest of your vacation! Me and my family did this and loved not to mention we had were fortunate to have an very insightful and yet fun driver whose name was tyrone he got us everywhere and gave us reasonable amount of time to sink the sights in

My pick up was 7 am but we actually didn’t start the tour until almost 9 am. When I called to see where they were I was told the pick up time had changed to 7:45 am which no one alerted me. It was hard to see stuff from the back of a van when it’s traveling. It would be better to focus only on a few valuable attractions so we actually get to see something. Hard to take pictures from a van. Also you should indicate to bring cash to pay for lunch as they don’t take cards. The guide was knowledgeable but I think more time should be put into planning the route so we come away with a better experience. It was more of a stop and shop kind of tour.

Aloha Lisa, we spoke of this before. We sent you an email via TripAdvisor with all the information that you needed for this trip as we do everybody else. We even texted you the sent email with a time stamp to your phone number 253-839-13… that you called us on. For some reason, the email was not read. Also, Kindly explain what was the “stop and shop” aspect of the tour. We are always looking to improve! There are two extra stops that are not posted: 1) fresh fruit stand (if the group agrees that they want to get some fresh fruit) I can see how that would be included under “stop and shop” 2) a bathroom break at a clean, non-beach bathroom. There is memorabilia there. We chose this place intentionally so that the people who don’t need to use the bathroom have something to do besides sit in the van. Feel free to email us with your suggestions. We do hope that you have a great rest of your vacation!
