Captain Ed and Kim provided a friendly experience and answered questions with great experience and knowledge. After a brief morning shower they were prepared to start us off with dry seating, which was lovely. The highlight was having dolphins ride along with the boat and be given a variety of sea shells to take home that I never saw. But: The seats are not Captain’s chairs, but benches and I missed the fine print that’s bottled water is not provided. Also, we learned the tides impact the experience so it’s worth investigating when picking a time to go out.

Typically, the lower stages of the tides expose more of the beaches and potentially more shells. Higher stages of the tides can be better for manatee and dolphin viewing. We do not supply water as we can only safely do so in single -use, disposable plastic bottles. We encourage guests to bring hydration in their own reuseable containers. Thanks for doing the review.!

Since the 1st picture of his site shows the dome houses we thought we would get to see them. That was the primary reason we went on the tour. We feel like this is false advertising and we would have never paid that much for what we saw. We did see a lot of dolphins and different birds but the beach shelling was just ok. Would not do it again.

Patty, We are sorry that you are disappointed in not seeing the Dome Homes, certainly happy that you enjoyed the dolphins and shelling. There is simply not enough time on the two-hour Dolphin and Shelling Tour to make it to the Domes. On the longer 3.5 hour 10,000 Islands Excursion we DO go to the Domes. I would like to correct one thing ... there is not a picture of the Domes on the first page of the our site. The only pictures of the Dome Homes are on the10,000 Island Excursion Page. Sorry for the confusion.

The shelling was magnificent and while wading at shell island, a dolphin swam by me and stayed in the area. We drove away from the beach and saw multiple sharks and rays, then watched more dolphins at play. The highlight of the trip was Captain Ed rescuing a pelican who was trapped in a tree with fishing line. He cut it down, brought it back to the boat, and removed a fish hook from its wing. It happily swam away after that.

Thanks for taking time to do a review. This is not Captain Ed's first pelican rescue.
