Imagine discovering a secluded cypress forest full of ancient trees with knees smack dab in the middle of Disney's dynasty of theme parks! Hidden amidst the franchises of food and motel chains, time shares and souvenir shops, you experience utter peace, calm and tranquility winding through Shingle Creek in canoes and kayaks. Most think the Everglades are found at Florida's southern tip, Everglades National Park or Alligator Alley. Breathtakingly beautiful is this spa at the headwaters of the Everglades. I almost passed on it however how else would you experience a closeup of a tropical wilderness inclusive of its ancient inhabitants.

First tume kayaking. This is an excellent thing to do for a day away from the parks. Guide Mark is awesome and deserves a raise!

Just came back from having a great afternoon. Want a break away from the usual parks then this is where to come. Group of 10, quite a few were nervous. We rented 5 double canoes for 2 hrs the guy behind the counter was really patient & didn’t mind us swapping & changing canoes until we were happy. Seen lots of wildlife...no gators though. Price wasn’t too bad either. Happy days :)
