The trip was truly once in a lifetime. The different scenes of the Grand Canyon were absolutely breathtaking. This is not something a beginner backpacker should do alone and that’s why we couldn’t thank our guide Katie enough! She was knowledgeable, friendly and fun to be around. She pointed out everything we wanted to know about, took our picture around every turn and most of all made sure we were always safe and good to go. I couldn’t give her enough props and I can’t thank discovery treks enough for the once in a lifetime opportunity!!!!

Discovery Trek is the real deal. From the booking to orientation to the trip itself they had it all covered. Their gear is well maintained & organized (for a trip like this it’s super important to help make things go smooth) But you know what the absolute best part of the trip was? Phil Noriega! Super passionate about his job & incredibly skilled at it and it shows. Properly trained and certified so you know you are in good hands. But he’s much more than that, he also is… Gourmet Chef History Buff Wealth of knowledge of wildlife & fauna Motivator All that being said, if you are looking into this type of trip- go with Discovery Trek. Just back from an amazing 3 day camping hike in the grand canyon guided by the wonderful Savannah. We really enjoyed her relaxed and friendly style combined with her considerable hiking experience and local knowledge. Superb tracks, great food and amazing views. Camping was really fun and comfortable with excellent kit. We experienced all types of weather so could enjoy the changing vista. Thoroughly recommend.
