A local permitted guide will show you all of the highlights of Acadia National Park!

We will pick you up and we’ll drive along the stunning 27-mile long Park Loop Road up to the summit of Cadillac Mountain, the highest peak on the eastern seaboard. From Cadillac you can see spectacular views of Bar Harbor and the surrounding islands.

See all of the famous sites on the Park Loop Road, including Cadillac Mountain, Rockefeller’s stone bridges & Carriage House, Otter Cliffs, Thunder Hole, and Sieur du Monts Gardens and Nature Center. See Sand Beach surrounded by the famous pink granite coastline.

We can stop and explore as long as you would like at each location. We will point out trailheads and carriage roads to see on your own.

Our tour guide MJ was fantastic!!! Great personality and so knowledgeable! Our family of 5 ( a 14 yr. old, 2 grandparents-75 and two 47 yr. active parents. We informed MJ of what we wanted regarding our hiking abilities and she knew exactly where to go and what worked for us. MJ picked us up at our hotel, the Harborside Hotel in Bar Harbor in her comfortable minivan with maps and water. We picked up sandwiches before for the car ride which started at 1:00. MJ started off the tour with the history of Acadia with the Frenchman who discovered the island and then the wealthy families that built their mansions and how it became a national park. She had a wealth of information about everything from the history of the surrounding towns and park, the environment, the animals (the clever beavers) the food, and where to get the best lobster! We stopped along the way at several hot spots such as Cadillac Mountain where we walked a small hike with beautiful views. We did another easy mile hike starting at Thunder Hole. We learned so much, she was full of interesting stories and facts that made the tour go by so fast, We definitely recommend MJ for a private tour. You won’t be disappointed and you will leave with a better understanding and appreciation of Acadia! It was a five star day!!!

Four of us booked a 3 hr tour of Acadia park during our cruise stop. Sue drove us around the park and did a nice job of explaining the significance of the stops she chose. We were able to spend as much time at each stop as we wanted. We had a nice day for touring. In retrospect we would have been better served choosing a 4 hr tour.

We loved our tour by Linda! She was a local for many years and was very informative and interesting! Our 3 hour took of Arcadia National Park was perfect. We stopped and took marvelous pictures. Loved Cadillac Mountain! We were meet with a sign the minute we tendered into port. It was a short walk to her van which was helpful since my husband has trouble walking. Linda had brought along water and snacks for us. She was agreeable to whatever we wanted to do, I loved hearing about how the locals live and how they preserve the town of Bar Harbor. We got recommendations of where to eat lunch. I would definitely take their tour again, Thanks Linda!
