Each tour is lead by an experienced Navajo guide, who is certified by the Navajo Nation Parks & Recreation Dept. and National Park Service. Each and everyone of our guides was born and raised in this Canyon De Chelly area, allowing them to gain a vast knowledge of its history to share with all our guests who visit this place we call home. As well as learning about the canyon's rich history, rock art sites and other archeological sites, you will hear stories and tales of life in the canyon and get a chance (time permitted and seasonal option) to visit our guide's families who still weave, farm, ranch, and continue to live a traditional Navajo lifestyle in this rural part of the southwest. Lee, an owner of the company, was our guide. He was superb. Over extensive years of guiding he has successfully blended his long Navaho traditions and culture with a studied, academic perspective of history and the environment of the Canyon. He can answer questions from so many perspectives... The tour covers dwellings and lifestyles from the Anasazi right up to the present day. Also pictoglyphs, plants, animals of the area. You will love the trip as we did.

This experience was so educational and stunning visually. Viola, our tour guide, was so knowledgeable and answered all our questions. Viola grew up in the canyon so had a lot of first-hand experience and stories to tell us.

An amazing tour of the canyons. We saw a lot of the unique features including ancient cliff dwellings. The tour guide was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable about the area and his stories were both interesting and educational. Couldn’t have asked for anymore. Would highly encourage anyone considering a tour to hire them.
