My 12 year old son and I are on our first trip to DC. We celebrated his birthday with a tour of the monuments at night. It was an amazing tour! Despite the weather being chilly (we are from Chicago, so it wasn't too bad for us.) we enjoyed the night! Our tour guide Steve, is a wealth of knowledge when it comes to DC. During the drive in between the monuments we learned so much about the buildings, and the people of DC. At the monuments, it was the same, so much history was shared it was well worth it!! It is a small group, in a nice vehicle. Phone charges are available. Driver did a great job navigating his way around. My 12 year old woke up today, talking all about the different things he learned... as a preteen mom it was great to hear that it captured his interest! :)

Tour pick up was prompt at 7pm. Dean welcomed the small group with offers of phone chargers and water. The tour was enhanced with tv screen presentation with background knowledge from Dean who is extremely knowledgeable of the area subject matters ... well done Dean. The tour is a reasonable brisk pace which is fine as weather was not the greatest. One area of improvement I would suggest is when discussing subject matters outside the bus an increase in volume and a gathering of the attendees so all could hear and participate in the conversation. Dean made sure we had a central meeting area at each location. All in all a solid tour that was well thought out and had many additional amenities included.

Dean is a very knowledgeable native when it comes to the friendly city of Washington DC. He takes his time and really explains and answers questions. His small group secessions allow you to have a more personal experience that is also demonstrated with a well organized and informative power point. He stops at ALL your main tourist attractions that you could not possibly accomplish in one day. And he also makes a point to tell you the why and the back history of each stop. This tour exceeded my expectations and I highly recommend this tour!
