45 Minute Great Salt Lake Boat Tour

Exclusive Excursions is happy be on The Great Salt Lake, which is the saltiest body of water in the Western Hemisphere. Come enjoy this experience by actually going out on the lake rather than just seeing it from the shore. We will do a short boat ride around the marina area, hear some stories, history and jokes about the lake, and even do a few demonstrations. And of course have time for a good picture or two.

Since it’s only 45 minutes and the lake is so big and wide, we just stay within a mile of the marina and this tour is not a high speed boat ride because the captain likes to give commentary the whole time. Some people complain that we don’t go fast or farther out in the lake so this is why.

Yes the great salt lake has bugs near the marina. They don’t bite but can swarm at times. We give you hats with nets to keep them out of your face so please take one so they don’t “bug” you. Give us a call if you want an update about the current bug situation since it always changes.

Just expected a little more on distance travelled. Tons of bugs - didn’t bite but still. Tour guide had decent facts to share. Just expected a little more for the price.

Hi Tamika, I’m sorry you felt your experience with us was subpar. I apologize about the bugs and really wish I could control them. Unfortunately the little buggers come and go as they please. We try to make it a good experience for guests by offering the beekeeper hats to keep them out of your face and try to speed up the boat when there is a swarm of them. We try to make this a fun tour on the lake by telling stories, jokes, giving people good photo ops, doing demonstrations about the unique lake and offering our guests cold waters on a hot day. I am sorry we did not meet your expectations but would love to hear your suggestions if you wanted to send me a personal message.
