My family's 1st visit to L.A. to celebrate our daughter's golden birthday 20 on 9/20. Scheduled a Malibu Beach Tour with hopes of seeing Rhianna's Mansion (her highlight of the trip - disappointed bc we did not see it - but got the address). Many of the places listed were not visited, including "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" home. Be prepared to walk a few blocks to their "office" (surf shop to meet up to depart for the tour, down the street from the Santa Monica Pier). The tour bus is not the one shown; it's an older version. Bring a windbreaker as you drive along the windy coast. Don't expect to see any mansions up close or walk on the beach unless you go to the Malibu Pier for your hour break. Don't be surprised if tours change without notice. Be prepared to go to the voicemail; they will call back. Adam, the owner, is nice. David, the tour guide, was excellent. He knows the rich history, makes stops for pictures. My phone/ wallet was left on the bus but was turned in. A partial refund was received for The Hollywood Tour bc not all sites advertised were visited by one of their partnering companies (Hollywood LA Tours), but that's another review. The actual parking lot they suggested no longer existed in Hollywood. It was a construction site. Paul got a little frustrated with me as I shared concerns about our experience with the 2nd tour. Overall, I had higher expectations of Surf City Tour based on what I saw on the website. I enjoyed seeing beautiful Malibu, the lobster wrap at Broad St. Oyster Co at the Malibu Country Mart and seeing one celebrity, Simon Cowell. I am grateful my phone/wallet was found and for my refund on tour #2. Booking was seamless. I appreciated the discount for booking two tours and the information received but where to park/meet to depart for the Malibu tour wasn't as clear in the emails received or website. Parking was $15 in Santa Monica and $20 in Hollywood (not $10), as one correspondence stated. Hopefully, they'll use this feedback and make some changes, update the webpage with current info of what you'll see or visit. In the meantime, do some comparative shopping on all tours available. Try different search engines. Some are less expensive. After paying for the tour for three adults and leaving the recommended tip, it may be a bit overpriced for what we experienced.
