Ready? Leave the buses and boardwalks behind. Hike high into the Alaska Range. Feel the wind in your hair. As the views unfold, you can’t peel your eyes away. The rugged mountains rise around you like castles. The wide valleys stretch into the distance. The greens, reds, and blues of the tundra create a patchwork quilt unlike any other.

Now pick your jaw back up! There’s more to see, and higher to go! Toil further up the steep ridge. Scramble over jagged rocks. Stroll through dips full of delicate wildflowers. Later in the season, enjoy the bounty of wild blueberries, lingonberries, currants, and more.

We had a fantastic time on our 5 hour hike with Jason. He was great and very knowledgeable about the area, plants and animals. We really learned a lot!! He took us on an amazing trail and the views were incredible!! Would definitely recommend doing this trip up the mountain. And having Jason as our guide made it extra special!!

The name doesn't do this experience justice. We had the pleasure of experiencing Denali with Jason and Trinidad. We learned so much from both of them as we made our way through the forest and then above the treeline for some breathtaking views. We ate spruce tips and berries along the way and learned about the eco system in an engaging and enjoyable way. By the end of your time with them we felt like we were hiking with two of our friends simply enjoying the company and the beauty of Denali. If you want to really experience Denali and learn about the environment this is a must do. And you'll have some fun as well. The art of the pun was worked in to the entire day, from having a gneiss day to really lichen Jason and Trinidad.

Everyone coming to Denali should take this hike and experience the wisdom of these tour guides. It was so much fun and so educational. I’ll never look at the ground the same way. Forever changed my perspective!
