Guests will walk above the Park to see the original location of the Basin Park Spring that was used for healing during the 1880's. They will also see where the Spring is now in the basin of the Park.

Guests will walk up to the Flatiron Building and learn about the history of this iconic (and most photographed) location and the trick about it. Following that they walk up to where the first bank robbery using a vehicle was committed, stories about the three fires, and the history of the Prohibition Era in Downtown Eureka Springs. Venturing further down a secret set of steps that is also a platted street they learn about Carrie Nation who gave her last temperance speech before passing away in Kansas.

Our tour guide was very informed and friendly. However the tour was not what we were expecting. The title and description lead us to believe we we’re going to be going into underground tunnels. The only “tunnel” we entered was a basement at the end of the tour where we watched a short video. You should also know people were smoking in our group. I know not much could be done about that because it’s mostly outdoors but if you’re sensitive to cigarette smoke it’s something you should know.

We are so sorry that there was a disconnect - it is true we teach about the multiple tunnels (I mean, we have a creek that runs UNDER the buildings which is wild), but it isn't a caving experience. And what a sheer disappointment that there was smoking on the tour. We will work through that and we appreciate your information. Tour guide was great, I learned a lot. Would recommend! There's a lot more to Eureka Springs than meets the eye and the guide was very informative.
