This was our second tour with Savannah Walks and we were not disappointed. I am a fan of the movie and book while my husband has not experienced either. Brad took his time comparing and contrasting both and had a binder full of references to the story. We were able to see places such as the court house, Clary’s and the Mercer Williams house, Despite the light rain he offered to show us where Chablis lives in the movie as well as where the Doctor’s office was filmed for movie. We both highly recommend this tour. Brad has a great amount of information plus personal experiences and stories to share about Patrick the dog. Thank you for helping to make our time in Savannah memorable. -Bartleson’s

I love the book and the movie and was looking forward to this tour. Brad is definitely knowledgeable and Savannah is gorgeous. The weather was great too, so what could possibly go wrong?... There is no doubt as to which side of the political divide in our country Brad stands... I hold the opposing opinion, but chose to ignore his comments and hints. If this is going to ruin your tour, there are other Midnight related tours in Savannah. What annoyed me (and two other guests) was his constant comments about Yankees. Dude, if you're joking and it's an act, you're laying it on pretty thick...

Thank you for the review! Throughout the book, not so much the movie, the term “Yankee” is used. It was used by the author John Berendt, a New Yorker, to help the reader better understand the history and the feelings of the South at that time. Particularly as they are conveyed in the Book. Your guide discussed all of this before the tour started and it seemed pretty clear that everyone understood before leaving the square.
