Our group of three was running a little late and missed Kenny. He did return to the pick-up stop to get us. It would be helpful if he identified the pick-up location by building name, as well as the address. Kenny had many interesting facts to share along the ride, but we missed many of them, because he is soft spoken his voice did not project to those in the rear of the mini van. Kenny should have kept to the schedule and not allowed the passengers to opt out of stops, thus shortening the tour. Adequate time was not given at all stops. In our case the Civil War Museum stop was rushed and we were unable to tour the museum. Drive by points of interest were quick, so if you blinked or turned your head, you missed it.
Bottle water was not provided according to the printout, nor did we stop for lunch prior to going to the NMAAHC. The actual presentation and tour did not meet the online description.
A tour with 6 guest plus the driver, what size vehicle is appropriate? Based on my experience, I am unable to recommend this tour to others.
The tour was excellent! Kenny, our guide, was well-informed, well-organized and pleasant. I thoroughly enjoyed visiting Anacostia, Howard University, the Frederick Douglas' National Historic Site, the monument to African-American soldiers, the Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial, the Lincoln Memorial and other sites. The National Museum of African-American History and Culture is awesome! I spent 4 hours in the museum and saw only half of what it has to offer.I look forward to returning to the museum in the near future.
My mother and I throughly enjoyed to tour. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and provide us with little known facts about Washington monuments. The bonus was getting access to the National Museum of African American History, which you can't do in one day but is fantastic!
