We spent an hour in a parking lot watching the crew set up the balloons...then a small gust of wind came and we spent another hour watching them pack up the balloons. On the ride back to their office, we saw about 10 balloons from their competitors happily floating around in the blue, windless sky. What a Mickey Mouse operation! Try sending your crew out ahead of time to check the conditions, maybe?

We do apologize for the cancellation of your flight. We did provide a full refund back to your card immediately as you were unable to reschedule. Unfortunately, weather conditions did not behave as anticipated that morning and our pilots made the decision to cancel due to the wind increase that occurred during inflation. There were three other ride balloons that did fly that morning (others were private fliers who did not need to worry about the safety of other passengers) and they were able to inflate before the morning wind hit. The upper winds were moving very fast as well so that they were required to stay low throughout the duration of the flight. We never want to cancel our flights if it is not necessary, as we understand our passengers travel from far and wide to check this experience off their bucket list. That is why our pilots take into consideration your safety, first and foremost, as well as the value you would receive out of the flight that is possible within those weather conditions. We stand behind our pilots' decision to not fly that morning, as safety is the top priority at Rainbow Ryders and we will not comprise it under any circumstances.

The whole experience was very enjoyable and organized. I was nervous prior to arriving, but the seamlessness of the whole process set my mind at ease immediately. Our pilot was Troy. He was very friendly and knowledgeable. The entire crew is very professional and organized which made for an unforgettable experience. If you are doubting the safety or heights, DO IT!! Rainbow Ryders is a very prepared vendor! We even landed sideways which we were already prepared for by our pilot, and it was actually fun. I felt very safe the whole time, and would do it all over again.

A great experience to cross off your bucket list. Our pilot, Troy, was experienced and friendly. He told us all about how the balloon works and his many amazing flights over the years. if you're in the Albuquerque area make sure to add this to your itinerary. You won't be disappointed.
