I have been to a house previously occupied by Amish folks, now commercialized, with full explanations of life style and customs. This tour beckoned questions from tourist, and would be difficult to ask if you didn't have a detailed background, more readily available on a commercial, self contained, not occupied farmette/house. I had that knowledge, and was thoroughly impressed with this tour and the driver knowledge. The visits were another way for the Amish folks to make money, and not so intrusive as to interfere with their daily life, since different houses, farms, and work shops were visited only once or twice a month. I would recommend a visit to an Amish commercial house tour before this visit. I would highly recommend the VIP tour that Amish Experience has to offer.
The add-on smoke house meal was dissappointing.
