What a great tour! We visited an Amish farm where a young boy (14 years old) talked about life on his family's Amish farm. He had just graduated from school (8th grade). He was articulate and most impressive. He was very comfortable talking in front of a group of adults. Next stop was at a woodworking business. We were welcomed into the building where the Amish business owner shared all about how his business worked. Six of his ten children came out to join us. They were adorable. Finally, the highlight of the tour...visiting an Amish family in their home. We sat for an hour and had a wonderful conversation with a young Amish couple. They had four beautiful little girls. We were allowed to ask questions, and this couple was open to answering all our questions. This was such a wonderful tour, and my husband and I enjoyed every moment of the tour. Oh, and our tour guide, Jay, was phenomenal. He shared so much history with us as we traveled through Amish country.
