There is no better way to DISCOVER and EXPLORE Asheville! Hop-on board one of Gray Line’s nostalgic trolleys for a fully narrated journey, highlighting the history, homes, hang-outs and hot spots of this “city of surprises.” The complete tour (one loop) lasts approximately 90 to 100 minutes. There is an additional 15 minute stop at the Asheville Visitor Center.

Tour Highlights include Downtown Asheville, Montford Historic District, The Grove Park Inn and Grove Park Historic District, Thomas Wolfe District, Pack Square and Asheville Art Museum, Grove Arcade, River Arts District, and South Slope Brewing District

Trolley hours vary by season. April - October (daily, every 30 minutes), November (daily, every 60 minutes), December - February (Mon, Thurs, Fri, Sat, every 60 minutes), March (daily, every 60 minutes). *Please Note: Final departures are for re-boarding passengers only.

It was great getting on this Sightseeing Trolley. Right from the offices, through to the outskirts and back through the city. There was a lot to see and learn. The drivers were informative and funny. It's a great way of seeing a lot in a short time. The only snag is the lack of seat belts. I know it's a tour and some people might think this is not necessary. But at one point, we went onto what i call the main road where cars were going very fast. We were just thinking if anything happened ( God forbid) with no seat belts, we'd be done.

This was amazing! I would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Asheville. The experience was amazing. We loved our tour guide Matt, he made it so entertaining and fun.

Comfortable enough seating. Get off at the first stop, Grove Park Inn. Stay at that stop at least an hour. It will be the best stop of the tour. Here is the thing, if you like your driver and then get off there's little chance you will catch that same driver so you get what you get. Dean is good, our other driver spent 80% complaining about traffic and 20% explaining what we were looking at. Avoid wheel wells when sitting. Also know that if someone wants window open in front of you, you will be cold. Dress appropriately. Can't see out the plastic flaps so if you get that trolley it is what it is. Also, if you arrive 5 minutes early to visitor center you will miss your bus. They sell out that time, and then promise out the seats WAY before the time it leaves. I just waited 25 minutes and got the next trolley so no worries.
