We surprised our 12-year-old daughter with this excursion. She thought we were stopping at a farm to visit the animals, but then she found out the real reason. Riding ATVs and she got to drive own! I was able to secure a “medium” size for her. She is 5’5” and I think she would have been too big for the small ATV.
This was my daughter’s first-time riding, so I think they could have spent a little more time explaining the ATV (starting it, breaking, etc.) to her. Although, I think more time would have been spent had it not been for another family taking up lots of time complaining about their very large 13-year-old having to ride a medium ATV vs large. (Restrictions are based on age, not size). Even though she still had questions, she felt comfortable enough to ride when we began our tour.
We rode around the farm to a track, where we got to open it up on speed. Fun and challenging track. I can’t say we got really dirty, but we were the first 3 in line behind the guide. I wish it had been a little muddier!
We all enjoyed our time and wish it was longer. My daughter said it was harder than she thought, but had a blast!
I would recommend it for first timers.
