Just as my friend and I were leaving our hotel in Austin on 9-27-23 to go to the boat tour, we received a call from this outfit, saying we were the only two people booked for the 11:30am tour - so they were canceling. We were leaving Texas very early the next morning so there was no opportunity to re-book. Extremely disappointing since we had both come from out of state, we were only there for a few days, and this was to be a highlight of our visit.

Kathleen, we did regretfully have to cancel the 1:15pm tour you booked for Wednesday, 9/27 as you were the only two passengers confirmed. As noted in the Cancellation Policy on the product listing online, this experience requires a minimum number of travelers. If it’s canceled because the minimum isn’t met, travelers are offered a different date/experience or a full refund. Being mindful of our customers' time in the event we foresee a tour may not depart based on the number of travelers confirmed, we do take a proactive approach in notifying those potentially affected of the need to possibly reschedule and offer alternate dates/times. We generally do this one day prior to scheduled departure. In keeping with this practice, we did reach out to you by text message the morning of the day prior as well as via the Viator messaging platform the afternoon of the day prior. When no response back was received, we tried reaching you by telephone the morning of departure. Unable to make contact, we did leave a voicemail. At 10:44am the day of departure, we reached out by telephone again and were then able to advise you of the need to cancel and offered two alternate dates that included three alternate times. We certainly understand it can be disappointing when plans change and that rescheduling might not be a feasible option, particularly when visiting Austin from out of town. We do our best to mitigate cancellations of any kind as customer satisfaction is a top priority. We encourage you to give us a call should you wish to discuss further. Thank you again for taking the time to share your thoughts. We sincerely hope you’ll consider booking again in the future.
