The Kayak tour itself was great and our guide JT did a great and entertaining job of enlightening us about the local river/lake/Austin skyline and it's history. We were a bit disappointed that we weren't able to experience the early morning Tranquility Tour that we signed up for due to a shortage of staff, so we got moved to a later tour. Also a bit disappointed about how much litter and trash was at our launch point on the river (not the tour company's fault) ... but did detract some from what could be a very beautiful environment.

Thanks for the review! We have constant hiring advertisements going, but unfortunately not everyone is cut out to be a tour guide! We'd rather provide a solid experience then a half-baked tour!

Arrive early to find parking. The parking under the bridge was full but we found free parking along the street following the park. After that, great experience. The kayaks weren’t fancy but sturdy and easy to use. If you are comfortable in a canoe, this will be easy for you. Our guide was flexible to our needs and was focused on safety first. It was a fun way to learn about the city and their bats!

Our Tour Guide Reid was very knowledgeable about the Austin city skyline along the tour. Not just about the tour but about the city of Austin in general, He had so many great recommendations for us to try while we were in Austin. Reid made us feel like we were out on the water with a friend, definitely did not feel like a boring tour. 10 out of 10!
