I'll preface this with saying I've never been sky-diving or indoor skydiving. So, obviously I didn't know what I was doing. I also purchased the 2-flight experience, with a "high-fly" for 10 extra dollars.
So, overall, I'd summarize with this:
1) Extreme: Lots of wind in your face, leaving you with some saliva running up your cheeks when you get out!
2) Not enough time in the tube: They start a 60 second timer right when you get to the doorway, which means that by the time you're stabilized, you have 48 seconds left. The guide (in the red suit) holds you almost the entire time, so you don't feel like you're doing anything correctly. He's moving you, telling you to straighten your legs, put your head up, arms farther out, no arms back in, hands down, feet out, butt down, etc. you get the point). Too many directions all at once. All of the sudden, the lights are blinking at 10 seconds left and they usher you to the door. Overall, you get maybe 10 seconds where you feel like you're on your own and enjoying yourself.
3) Too much coaching: See above. I get that I don't have the perfect form, but who cares? I only get a minute to enjoy myself.
4) High-fly: This should be standard and not an extra option. This is where the guide flies with you to the top of the tube and back about 3 times. Way better than a regular flight, but you have to pay $10 extra for it. Just add the $10 to the price and do this for every flyer.
5) Not as fun as a plane: They don't want you to look down, like you would if you were sky diving. There's nothing to look at but a metal grate below. I understand you can do Virtual Reality for more $$, but the fear factor isn't totally there.
6) No Photos - It didn't happen: So they don't let you take a camera in, and if your whole party is jumping, then no one will have any mobile recording of your experience. I went to their kiosk afterwards that allows you to send photos/video of the experience to yourself that iFLY takes, and just for fun added the photos to a cart. $87 dollars later I could have had just my photos (not my entire party's photos). This is a little ridiculous.
So, overall, MOST LIKELY, I will not be doing it again, but for a one-time experience it was worth doing - as I received a voucher for two flights as a gift.
THE BEST part was watching the guide do his flight, which was freaking awesome - but they would never let you do the stuff in that tube that the guide does without spending thousands.
