If I could give this tour a million stars I would (pun intended). I did my research and compared multiple tours and I’m glad we chose this one. Shawn our tour guide was very knowledgeable, kind hearted, and patient. He answered all our questions and took great pictures of us which were professional quality. One thing I also remember was the high altitude level and Shawn was very kind to do routine checks to make sure we were all alright. Shawn took his time explaining to us the surrounding environment and facts about astronomy. The sunset at Mauna Kea was incredible, felt surreal. At night, a telescope was set up. We got lucky and had clear skies therefore we got to see a sea of stars, Jupiter, Saturn, and the Milky Way. Definitely recommend this tour, it was a once in a lifetime experience. It was the highlight of our Hawaii trip.

The whole experience was awesome. The sunset is absolutely gorgeous and seeing the Milky Way was mind blowing. The cold weather at the summit was a nice retreat too from the hot and humid coast. Our tour guide, Stefan, was the absolute best! He knew what he was talking about when showing the stars and his driving was the safest despite the climb. All in all, an unforgettable experience and I highly recommend!
