From the start our tour guide Hiro began giving us the history of the island on our way toward the summit. Just by his enthusiasm and what he was telling us, you knew you were going to learn a lot along the way. On the way up he ensured water was constantly provided, food could be had at our leisure, and we were all comfortable. Once at the summit, the views were humbling. It’s tough to describe or show in pictures. There are many telescopes and equipment up there and Hiro let us know what each of them were, what they did, and how they have helped recent space exploration. When the sun set, we each had a chance to take a few pictures on Hiro’s professional camera, which he airdropped you us (with some surprise photos of his own) before we headed to our stargazing spot. Stargazing was spectacular! Hiro knew every constellation, explained its history, how they interconnected, etc. Again, we got the opportunity to take our own photos and photos with a professional camera. The sky was like nothing I’ve ever seen before (or will likely see again). The journey from beginning to end was something we will never forget!
