We saw a decent amount of wildlife and the guides were good, but at the end of the day everything we saw was right off the road. We basically spent 10+ hours out of the 12 hour day in a car driving and whenever there was wildlife on the road we would pull over to see it. I was expecting more walking and much less driving time. For example we drove up this one road next to a wetland type area and the guide explained that beavers have damms down there and that mousse like this type of habitat. I think a better tour would have had us pull over and walk a trail for an hour or two looking for those beavers and moose. As it is, you only see what you can from the side of the road and you aren't going to see a beaver that way.
I was also expecting more from the guides. We generally found animals because there was a traffic jam or a lot of cars pulled off the side of the road. If we knew that was all we were getting into, we could have done it for the cost of gas rather than $300/person. Further, I think we found more than they did as the guide in the passenger seat was more focused on telling us about the park while making looking at us either through the mirror or turned around, when he should have been looking for animals. My partner was the one who found the eagle in a tree that we circled back to look at. All other animals were spotted based on seeing a lot of cars and looking for why they were stopped.
Overall, overpriced and somewhat disappointing.
We did however see a decent amount of wildlife. A bear and her two cubs, deer, antelope, buffalo, osprey, and eagles.
It was a decent day, but I wouldn't do it again. I would just drive it myself. Just rent a car and keep your eyes open.
