The Ronald Reagan Presidential Library and Museum sits on a high hill with sweeping views of the surrounding mountains, valleys and the Pacific Ocean. The Library is one of California's beautiful and unique destinations. The Library grounds serves as the final resting place of the nation's 40th President, and his wife, First Lady Nancy Reagan. The Library‘s holdings include over 60 million pages of documents, over 1.6 million photographs, a half million feet of motion picture film and tens of thousands of audio and video tapes. The Nixon Presidential Materials Collection contains approximately 46 million pages of documents, 3,700 hours of recorded Presidential conversations known as the “White House Tapes”, 4,000 separate recordings of broadcast video, nearly 4,500 audio recordings, 300,000 still photographs, two million feet of film, and more than 35,000 State and Public Gifts.

Kualoa Ranch
Koʻolau Range is one of the two mountain ranges that form the island of Oahu. It spans 34 miles, and the summits average about 2,500 feet. The Koolau Range, as you see it today, is all that remains of a massive volcano that began erupting on the ocean floor, around 2 and a half million years ago. It was designated a National Natural Landmark in 1972.

You’ll find locals and visitors winding down with shaved ice cream or shopping at boutiques filled with unique gifts that will allow you to bring back a piece of Hawaii with you. Haleiwa is a far cry from the excitement of Waikiki, and that’s exactly how the people of the North Shore like it.

Daniel is our tour guide and spoke English very well. The two Libraries are totally different, and the Nixon’s is better in my mind. I enjoyed my solo trip very well.
