During this approx 2 -hour snorkeling tour with a knowledgeable guide, watch these extraordinary creatures feed on plentiful plankton attracted by underwater lights. With wingspans that can reach more than 20 feet (6 meters) across, manta rays have no teeth or barb on the tail. After some confusion about where to meet Matt and Buddha, all was resolved- we headed out as the sun was setting, not a long journey- clean dry and very comfy boat, and Matt was a great skipper very enthusiastic, knew the area well having grown up here and a great (underwater) photographer into the bargain, We stopped and saw three bottlenose dolphins feeding around the local fish farm and Buddha told us about the Manta swim- emphasising that we would stay flat, no kicking and no touching the mantas or you'd be straight out of the water- for their protection. When we arrived there were already a lot of boats with people in the water even though sun had just set. Buddha promised us a fabulous experience and he did deliver. We waited till it got darker and then went in holding a large floating surfboard- Buddha directed us passed another pontoon of tourists all kicking away and disrupting each other, we floated flat and he directed the light to attract swarms of plankton which lured in a minimum of 4 mantas- largest maybe just under 4m across (that's 11-12 feet for the Americans) who did feeding loops under us so close that at times they belly rubbed us- quite amazing and a lot of squealing from the crowd was recorded on my gopro- and we were by ourselves with the mantas for maybe ~30 min which was the best part though it seemed like 5 min. I'm a wildlife biologist and I thought it was very cool- Thanks Buddha and Matt-

Wow we are excited to have such a great review from a wildlife biologist! I will be sharing it with the guys. Going to see the mantas is one of my personal favorites...well and the dolphins. Buddha really knows how to make it a personal experience! Thank you again for sharing your experience!

Young people under 25 couldn't keep from upchucking. Very funny.The crew were great A1 service. KIDS

Ryan and Buddah were fantastic. There were quite a few tours at the site, but Buddah made sure we had the best viewing of these amazing creatures. Worth every penny..
