Every minute of this tour was incredible. It was the perfect combination of fact-finding mission, tour, and pilgrimage. Clay is a wonderful guide and has done in-depth research into Birmingham's history, as well as well-known and lesser-known places which were significant in the Civil Rights movement. The tour provided a view of history that can't be gleaned from a book or movie. Clay also provided us with insights on how this history carries into modern day Birmingham. No matter the questions that were asked, Clay answered patiently and thoughtfully. The pick up at my hotel was prompt and the van is comfortable. Traveling with Clay enables participants to visit many places that would not really be accessible on your own. It's a "Must Do" in Birmingham.

Clay did a phenomenal job of not only knowing so much about civil rights history but also tying everything together by taking us to the physical locations where history occurred.

This is a must do tour! It's a frank and earnest look at an ugly past that will leave steeped in thought and reflection about the future of our Nation! I've recommended this tour to everyone I've come into contact since. I had ten people from a wedding I attended ready to sign up the next day but the tour was closed that Monday. I wish I could remember the young man's name who gave the tour. He was fantastic! I don't remember his name not because it's not important but because the information that he imparted left me reeling, sad, angry, upset, emotional,and in need of some reflection. None of which was bad, just powerful. It was everything I had hoped for and more!
