The Bronx-Whitestone Bridge, known as the Whitestone Bridge or just Whitestone, is the famous suspension bridge in New York City that carries six lanes of Interstate 678 just over the East River, opened in 1939. We will cross it, then we will get to Queens.

Bronx–Whitestone Bridge
The Bronx-Whitestone Bridge, known as the Whitestone Bridge or just Whitestone, is the famous suspension bridge in New York City that carries six lanes of Interstate 678 just over the East River, opened in 1939. We will cross it, then we will get to Queens.

The tour continues across the East River in the borough of Queens, one of the most ethnically diverse counties in the US, whose residents speak over 100 languages. You will enjoy the Malba neighborhood, and take a short walk through Flushing Park.

Flushing Meadows Corona Park
Visit Flushing Meadows Park, home of the US Open (one of the oldest tennis championships in the world), the New York Mets baseball team, and the Unisphere (leftover from the 1964 World’s Fair).

Williamsburg, concentrates the life of the Jewish community on Lee Avenue, the main artery of the neighborhood. This is where most of their temples and businesses are.

Coney Island
If you selected the option with Coney Island included, you’ll head down to world famous Coney Island, a destination for New Yorkers for generations, seeking fun and relaxation. Weather permitting, you’ll have an opportunity to explore the boardwalk, panoramic view of Luna Park or New York Aquarium, and to have lunch at the original, legendary Nathan’s restaurant. If you prefer, you can end the tour at this point and enjoy the incredible Coney Island for more time on your own.

We enjoyed the tour very much. Jorge was a great guide, very knowledgeable and good sense of humor. Oscar did a great job as well getting us safely to each stop. Definitely recommend the tour, get to see a lot of NY in a short period of time.

A great tour which ran like Clockwork. Well organised excellent commentary with the guide being very knowledgable about the areas which we traveled. The bus was well heated and clean. Good stop off for photo opportunities although, stop of where brief. My teen mags daughter lived this tour. I would recommend.
