Unfortunately the day we were in Boston, it was like a hurricane. Torrential rain, winds, and just very dark/ gloomy/cold. I was still determined to see this city that everyone raves about. I'll start by saying we had plans to use another hop on hop off trolley, but they were horribly overbooked and people were waiting in line for BLOCKS with no chance of getting through any time soon. It wasnt just overbooked, but severely overbooked and it was much more expensive. A nice trolley driver (from another company that overbooked) took us to the wharf for free and explained what was going on with his company (the one he was employed by) and advised us to find a better alternative. So we hop off and he didn't even charge us for the drive into the city! We saw a little booth near the wharf offering the same tour that did exactly what this other company offered. But it was SO much cheaper. We opted for the harbor cruise as well because I love that. It was still rainy, but it has almost stopped as the weather was trying to clear up. The harbor cruise was wonderful, fun and informative. We met people from all over the world and sat with Australians. Some great sights can only be seen from the water, and we are so thankful we were able to stick with our original game plan, but through a much more economical route. The trolley is a wonderful way to see the city at your own pace and discretion. We spent most of our time on the north side, in Little Italy. Boston is a truly phenomenal city. I fell in love instantly. Our driver was incredible. Funny and social, and oh so helpful. The only problem we ran into was it was hard to find the trolley stop at times, but we never missed one at least. The tour ended not in a close area where we needed to return to. As we got off at the end, I asked the driver how I could get to my destination. he was very helpful and nice. He took the time to tell me where I needed to go and suggested helpful hints for taking the silver line back. He didn't mind taking the few extra minutes to talk to me before taking off. The tour stops are great- and very centrally located. Near every landmark and area you could ever want to see , especially if you're only here for a very limited time. We were disappointed we didn't do the freedom trail, but the weather was just not cooperating. Definitely recommend. Very friendly service and a positive experience all around.

Outstanding knowledge of the city Boston and its long history. The trolleys arrived at stops on-time and the drivers were pleasant/funny.

Great way to see everything in a day. Be sure to ask for Uncle Steve! Very knowledgeable and helpful.
