Michael and beautiful Percheron Bill II gave a fantastic tour! Michael was so knowledge and told wonderful stories of the history, people, and architecture that were informative and entertaining without being overly comical. Just SO GOOD! And the tour itself is awesome. My 90-year-old mom couldn't do a walking tour of the historic areas, and the comfortable carriage ride was perfect. This company runs such a wonderful operation--the ticketing, boarding, horse care, guides were all top notch. Highly recommend!!!

We did a private carriage ride, and it was absolutely worth every penny!! Our guides Rowdy (horse) and Bree (human) were amazing! Bree is incredibly knowledgeable. Gave us lots of great insight and tips on all things Charleston. She was fun and made us feel like we were old friends just hanging out! Rowdy was such a sweetie, let me give him lots of pets, and even posed for a pic with me. Thanks Rowdy! You are a very handsome boy and deserve lots of extra treats and maybe even an extra day off!!! It was an incredible way to see and experience Charleston, and I would highly recommend it. Everyone at Old South was so friendly! Horses are very well cared for, and it shows how much they are loved. One head's up - your guide can accept tips and gratuity is not part of the fees, so if you do like to tip, I would recommend planning ahead to bring along the appropriate amount of cash.
