Our tour guide/docent is a pro, a pleasant combination of informative and funny. We’re nearly positive her name is Becky, while admitting a slight chance it’s Betsy; but we can say with confidence that she’s been a docent for eight years, and she keeps on top of innovations. The Chicago architecture is fascinating. Plus, it’s a tour that keeps on giving. Later, as we walked through the city, we noticed many of the architectural aspects Becky pointed out. One reason her tour is easy to remember (with the possible exception of her name) is that she often points out a building, describes something significant and adds, “We’ll come back to this building later.” When we do, she reinforces what she’d already said and then adds something new to her description. Great technique.
