We were there on Monday, April 11th, 2022.
I had really high hopes for this Luau. It was mine and my husbands first time in Hawaii and this activity and dinner we were really looking forward to. But… it was such a DISAPPOINTMENT.
Let’s start from the beginning. Parking is $9, cash only. When you already paid $310 for your Luau. Umm, ok. We bought a paradise package. And we were seated at what I thought was the crappiest table there - 45C. It was to the far right of the stage and you can barely see the show from there. The second I saw where they seated us it I was just sad, I knew it would be bad and we won’t see anything. The headband they made was so small that it didn’t fit my or my husband’s head, there goes that souvenir. By the time it was our turn to go get food it was already 6:35 pm ( so half hour after they said the dinner starts). We were starving. We ate light lunch knowing we would have this all you can eat buffet so we we were definitely starving by the time it was our turn to get food. And we still had to stay in line to get it. I’d say it was 6:45 pm by the time we got food and set down to eat it. They stop serving buffet at 7 pm so you can’t really get seconds, just not enough time unless you shove your food down within 5 minutes. And the food was cold by the time we got to eat it. Don’t get me wrong, the food was good. But cold.
Since we couldn’t really see the show that well, we had to stand most of the time and ended up leaving before it was over.
Chief’s Luau - if I am paying the same price for the paradise ticket as people that are sitting in the middle section closer to the stage (not the Royal experience but the rows right after and close to those tables), I expect to at least being able to see the show. I didn’t pick that far table 45C, you did it for me. If you are seating people where you know they can barely see the stage, please make sure you do not charge them full price. There HAS to be a cheaper ticket. You won’t pay for nose bleeds seats at a football game the same price as you would pay sitting by the field or around that area.
I do hope people read this review and consider it. $310 is A LOT of money to pay for a 1,5 hour show that you can’t see from where you are sitting and cold food you get to eat last.
Some % of the refund would be appreciated!
