My son and I took a dolphin-watching tour on our last day in Florida. We had a great time. The captain was really funny, and the crew were nice and attentive. We saw dolphin playing in the bay, and the captain was an expert in keeping them in view and even got them to swim in the boat's wake. Two hours really flew by--fun little things for the kids to do, like "steer" the boat and have photos taken. Wonderful experience.

The Captain and crew are very friendly and helpful. On the trip out of Clearwater harbor the Captain points out the homes of celebrities while a young crew member "schools" child passengers on the wildlife they might encounter. The kids seemed to enjoy this and the young crew member was very good with the kids. Oh yes, they do serve complimentary soda, beer and wine as desired by the passengers. (A variety of snacks are available for a very reasonable one dollar fee.) The search for dolfins begins as the tour reaches the Gulf, and the Captain uses his radio to seek and provide assistance to other tour boats seeking pods of dolphin. We finally located several pods of dolphin and the Captain manuevered the boat so the view and the dolphin's antics were fantastic. We stayed quite a while observing the dolphin and finally followed a group which the Captain got to jump in the boats wake on our way back to the harbor and dock. It was a memorable, very worthwhile experience. The owners have put a great deal of effort into providing a memorable, very worthwhile experience. We had our granddaughters with us and they had a blast!

The Tropics Boat tour is a must do in Clearwater! We saw 14 dolphins in one trip! The captain was so much fun and even got the dolphins to do some tricks in the wake of the boat! A great value and perfect for any age!!!
