Look forward to visiting Colonial Williamsburg for years, I visited with my family on December 27th and was very, very disappointed. First of all the dowsers are dressed in colonial garb, but do not stay in character. The iron works building had a gentleman that just talk about what they make and sell in their shops. A lot of the buildings were closed, understandable with COVID, but the ones that we visited were all reproductions'. Yes I live in Boston, we have Plymouth Plantation and Sturbridge Village which do a remarkable job explaining the history that reflects their periods in history. Williamsburg, no so much . I was also shocked to see automobiles driving by - not a very realistic view of history. Also, one of the characters discussed her thoughts on present day politics, not in character. You are better off coming to Boston, or going to Philadelphia if you want the feel of Colonial America, 80% of the buildings are original and the dowsers are very knowledgeable and stay in character.
