Guide was candid about his mixed race heritage up front. We as a family of caucasians initially appreciated the opportunity to perhaps gain knowledge and understanding of the very important “Black Lives Matter” issues. But the guide concentrated almost solely on Washington DC sites that had celebrated or scorned, or mourned African Americans. He had no real grasp of Washington DC’s overall history, and very little knowledge of landmarks that were literally along our walk, let alone the city as a whole. Couldn’t tell us the name/ purpose of buildings or the park that stretched a block along our route. When we asked about a large statue, he said, “I have no idea. I don’t want to talk about dead white guys.” He seemed more angry than funny. Some of his jokes were ok but often they were crass and made us feel uncomfortable. We have a young teenager. Our discomfort w/ our experience and situation only grew. We were relieved to part ways. Very disappointed.

We are sorry you did not enjoy your Comedy Walk with Tim.Tim is a highly regarded DC comic with a Master in Fine Arts. Unfortunately Comedy is very individual and what some find funny others do not. You mentioned that you had a teenager with you.Where they over 18, as the Comedy Walk is listed as being for 18 and older.We also encourage our comics to emphasize Comedy over facts (70 % Comedy/ 40% facts). We will gladly refund your payment if you like.

Had such a great time with Jake ! Not only was he knowledgeable he was actually super funny & had us laughing the whole tour ! He was filled with interesting, fun stories about DC ! He was extremely personable, positive, & amusing ! Gave us fantastic recommendations for the rest of our trip ! BOOK YOUR TOUR WITH JAKE LIKE NOW ! You won’t regret it !!! Even though it was raining most of the tour Jake made it so enjoyable we didn’t even noticed! 100% worth it !

My daughter signed us up for a comedy walking tour of Washington, DC, and I said yes but did not know what to expect. Spending 90 minutes with an unfunny comedian would have been a nightmare for me. But my worries were unnecessary. Jake Woe was our comedian / leader, and he had me laughing the entire time, a couple of times to the point of tears. I felt comfortable right from the beginning as Jake was easy to talk with, and his clever and intelligent and often self-deprecating humor had me going right from the start. I would absolutely go on another walk with Jake, or go to see him perform at a club, and I highly recommend taking a Comedy Walk!
