  • Infants are required to sit on an adult’s lap
  • Suitable for all physical fitness levels
  • Weight Restrictions: Due to FAA regulations, all passengers must be weighed at check-in. For each single passenger weighing 240 pounds or more, combined weights of 420lbs per couple or for groups of 3 or more an average weight of 200lbs or more an additional seat must be purchased at time of booking. This is for the safety and comfort of all passengers. It is important to provide accurate body weight at checkout.
  • It is recommended that all passengers wear dark clothing to help have less reflection in the windows when flying and therefore you can get better photos during your tour
  • All passenger weights MUST be advised at time of booking. Under representation of body weight may result in cancellation at check-in with no refund.
  • Not wheelchair accessible. There is no wheelchair lift to accommodate wheelchair passengers nor can the staff personally/physically assist people into the helicopter
  • Flight routes & sights may vary due to weather.
  • Infants under 24 months must sit on an adult lap. PLEASE CONTACT AIR MAUI IF BRINGING AN INFANT. Over 24 months must occupy their own paid seat. We follow the same FAA regulations as the airlines.
  • Please contact Air Maui directly 808-877-7005 for your check in and departure time at least 72 hours prior to your flight!
  • Helicopter is a shared cabin holding up to 6 passengers and one pilot on each tour.
  • No bags allowed on board. This includes a purse, fanny pack, backpack, etc.

Air Maui is a joke of a business. They’re extremely unreliable because they don’t follow their listed flight times. As others have said here, They have the worst customer service. Trust me; book with someone else.

If you were to honestly look through our reviews I would disagree on saying we have the worst customer service. I would personally like to know a bit more about your comments as we are a very reputable business and would like to correct any issue that we were at fault for. If it is regarding flight times we do not cut flight times short and are actually required to log all departure and arrival times so I would appreciate the opportunity to look into that. If we had mistakenly put you on a shorter flight we would like to correct that of course. I kindly ask you to please email us directly at [email protected] so we can get more details.

Did the 'complete island' but due to wind and clouds we couldnt get to Haleakala as planned. I'd rather have missed the sight than be in a helo accident, so glad they dont risk it. The ride was smooth, the pilot fun and informative. The back seat a bit tight. May 2022.
