Superb museum and not limited to country music. Country music is the main emphasis but there is a highly detailed and informative timeline of the evolution from early Celtic travellers through to modern country music. There is also very good information about elements of the music industry and the more technical elements of music such as the recording studio and the making of guitars. There are exhibits on most of the main country artists both past and present. In some instances these are extensive. There are also exhibits to some artists which might be time limited. There is loads of memorabilia. There is a very good educational and interactive area. A lot of time can cheerfully be wasted going around this venue. The museum is very well laid out, spaced and the flow around is very easy. It is located within very short walking distance from Broadway and other principle Nashville attractions. The external architectural design is well worth taking the time to admire. It might not be immediately apparent but well worth looking for.

This place is huge! The exhibits are done so well and carry you through artists and performances from the beginning to today. We got to take a free music writing class, which educated us on the process of collaborative writing. They even sent the recording and PDF lyrics soon after we returned home. There are many activities for kids. If you love country music, you want to make time for a visit. If you do/see everything, it could be a full day!
