Major letdown. The guide's demeanor was off-putting from the start—he was rude and arrogant. The group tried to engage with him by making small talk between stories, but he refused to acknowledge us, avoiding eye contact and showing no interest in connecting with the group.
It was pouring rain on the day of our tour, and unfortunately, the tour was not canceled. This meant we wouldn't have received refunds if we chose not to attend. We decided to go, but the tour guide didn't even offer any ponchos or umbrellas. As visitors from another state, we didn't have any rain gear with us. You would think that if a tour is going to proceed in such weather, the guide would at least provide some sort of protection from the rain for paying customers. Glad he had one for himself 🙄
His storytelling was overly theatrical, which might have been entertaining if not for the lack of sincerity and connection. The jokes he made were corny, and when the crowd didn't laugh, he became visibly irritated, which only added to the uncomfortable atmosphere.
After realizing the tour wasn't going to improve, we decided to stay at a bar instead. Save your money.
