From start to finish, our morning with River Ventures was perfect! The staff was friendly and helpful. Our tour with Megan and Rhonda was amazing! We left with 3 very happy girls! HIGHLY recommend! We will be back!

We booked the standard tour on an unheated boat. Prior to starting the tour, we received a mail offering us to upgrade us to the heated boat for free as cold weather was expected (which we did not decline of course). At our arrival in the early morning, we were greeted by a nice lady offering us hot drinks (coffee and chocolate) before she gave us a comprehensive and on point introduction on swimming with the manatees. Shortly after we were driven to the boat where captain Broderick and Peter welcomed us. They were really enthusiastic and you could acknowledge they actually love their jobs. They drove us to different spots and were excellent in finding the manatees. Snorkeling with those animals is one of the nicest things you can do actually. There is no need to approach them as the manatees will approach you and interact which is an event you will never forget. We went to two different spots where we were the only group (6 people) so everybody could enjoy their very own encounter with the animals. After return, we had a long talk with Peter in the parking lot which was really nice as he is a resident of the area and could provide a lot of insights to american culture and life in Florida. This also showed the passion he puts into his job and how he treats guests as friends. All in all this is the most recommendable thing to do for anybody and we would love to repeat the experience once again. A special shoutout to Peter and Broderick for the entertaining tour! Lets start out by saying I am not a small man, also I dont know how to actually swim. You'd think I would have no business swimming with manatee. Well, youd be wrong! Brandy and her team are nothing short of amazing. From our very first conversation she made me feel comfortable and ensured that everything would be ok. To picking us up from the dock and driving us back. I cannot speak highly enough of the experience. They even provided a wetsuit that fit! (A sight no one ever needs to see again). There are shop dogs! Everyone loves dogs! Our captain for the day Captain Stark, provided a great experience! Quickly, and expertly found manatee to swim with! Great stories, shared pictures of previous manatee experiences. Our guide Jose took great pictures of the trip! Made sure we all had a great time, saw manatee, were as comfortable as we could be. They make a great team! The manatee, well, they were adorable! Saw a mom and her calf just hangin out! Saw several others doin their manatee thing (mostly sleeping, and eating...maybe im actually a manatee and just didnt know it!) Again, I cannot recommend River Ventures enough! Great people, great experience, great time in general.
