Shelly & her trainee did a wonderful job & we had so much fun. We now have a list of restaurants to re visit and several we want to try. I would highly recommend a food tour. We will be searching out food tours when we travel too.

Dallas is an amazing city with a great story, and the food is pretty good, too. Please come see us in Uptown, JFK or the Arts District when you return to Dallas.

Wow! Never been on a food tour before and now it will be my "go to" activity when visiting a new city. Who would have thought Dallas would have such a cool neighborhood like Deep Ellum in it? The food was delicious and I loved getting to know about this area and it's history. The murals were such fun to send pictures of myself & my husband to our kids. All the food was preselected and it was great trying new things. I enjoyed the cocktails with it as well. Beignets? I would have thought I was in New Orleans. Got recommendations for things to do/places to dine at also for the rest of my time in Dallas. Thanks also for my new "food tour" friends. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a fun activity!

Deep Ellum is an artsy and edgy neighborhood with historic jazz roots and plenty of street art that reflects a spirited and constantly evolving pocket of Dallas. Le Bon Temps will be happy to hear that the beignets were a favorite! They are such a hidden gem and a one of a kind artisan bakeshop for Dallas. I'm also happy to hear that your tour guide helped connect you to things to do and places to dine in Dallas. That is one of my favorite things about doing a food tour at the beginning of a visit to a new city. You get recommendations from a local and also tastings at restaurants where you now feel both excited to comfortable to return for a "vacation meal." Optional alcohol upgrades available through our tour guides highlighting signature and sometimes seasonal cocktails, wine and/or beer are definitely our favorite way to make a great experience even better!

I do not recommend this tour. This was my fourth food tour, it was not at all what I was expecting. The first restaurant took an hour to prepare our food, told us they didn't receive the correct information from the tour company and didn't have the right amount of food available. The tour guide then told us very little about the city of Dallas, but did mention that "no one knows where the name came from." A quick Google search disproved that fact. The fourth stop took 45 minutes to prepare one slider for each person--the rat trap on the front sidewalk of that restaurant was less than welcoming. I was very surprised that a representative from each establishment didn't welcome and speak to the group. While the tour guide was friendly, she did express her own views and judgements on things going on in the area--I was looking for facts not an editorial. This was a birthday celebration for me and I invited friends and family to join me, 3 of whom had never been on a food tour before. I was embarrassed at the low quality of the outing.

In order to address the delay we provided the entire tour with a complimentary alcohol cocktail at our final tasting. Our guides are trained extensively to deliver a fully narrated tour with material we have carefully designed. It seems this did not happen and the guide you were assigned is no longer a team member. Because of your feedback we are also implementing a mystery shopping program to ensure that our team is maintaining a consistent standard of quality in the narrated portions of our foodie and cultural tours. Guides are trained not to share personal opinions and I am so sorry this was not your experience. I am most sorry that your birthday celebration was not enjoyable for you. The Deep Ellum neighborhood is an edgy, trendy, artsy city neighborhood and our Uptown tour is more refined and upscale. It seems that you might have preferred the Uptown tour based on your feedback regarding the restaurants. The Deep Ellum restaurants we visit are all award winning local establishments with unique stories, hearty food, and attention to detail with high quality ingredients.
