We had a great time on this tour. You take your jeep (we were lucky enough to just have the 2 in our party in one jeep) and go to this campsite off roading in Denali. At the campsite is Jim and his beautiful dog Timber who serve you amazing coffee, beef stew, and cornbread. Even though a family in our group was incredibly rude and complained the whole time, our tour guide Nick kept a smile on his face and did his best so they didn't ruin it for the rest of the group. Transfer from your hotel is included which was a huge plus.

This half-day Jeep excursion was a lot of fun, and the mudding was for real. We were 2-to a jeep, and some were 4-to a jeep. Proceeded into an area surrounded by national park, but not technically inside (vehicles not allowed), where the terrain is beautiful and rugged. No guarantees that you won’t get stuck, but the guide can get you out. The jeeps are enclosed, so you shouldn’t get too dirty. Bring your bug spray though. When you get out for some camp stew at the turnaround, the bugs just might snack on you! Look for a coupon in the tour saver book

This was a fantastic drive along the old Denali Highway. After you're on the highway for about 3 miles it turns into a dirt road, but it still was not that bad. We were with a group of 4 jeeps (all new), with our tour guide following up the rear. We were in constant communication with each other because they are all radio equipped. This was about a 5 hour trip and was very enjoyable. There were restrooms about halfway (more if you don't mind using the bushes) and we saw amazing scenery, and some wildlife. Definitely a good excursion, especially if you can't do the hiking excursions. In the 5 hours we saw maybe a dozen other cars. Our guide, Jeff, did an amazing job of telling us all about the different areas we went through and had us stop a numerous places along the way to take some scenic pictures.
