I am so glad we decided to do this! We were visiting from Atlanta and wanted to take in some of Alaska's beauty. First and foremost I am terrified of dogs and needed to take some liquid courage before I got there. However, these dogs were so well behaved and so sweet! It is amazing how intelligent they are. Everyone in the facility was so nice. Our guide, Casey, was the sweetest person ever and she was so informative. You can tell when someone really enjoys where they work and what they do for a living! We, honestly, could not ask for a better guide or experience. On top of everything they provide you with gear so you don't freeze your face off, literally! Being from Atlanta, I thought four layers of clothing would be enough; had it not been for the overalls, shoes, gloves, coat and face shield that were provided I would have froze! Up until this point, the coldest temperature I've ever felt was 19°... It was 15° below zero!!!! However, I was very comfortable and warm and the ride was absolutely amazing! If I'm ever in the area again, I would not hesitate to dog sled with Casey again!
