My wife and I took the one hours dog sledding experience and it was the most fun and ecucational experience we have ever had while in 30 years of traveling. It was cold in early December and I thought we were bundled up but they provided better/warmer boots and gear, and we were off. Our musher, Cole, was excellent talking about his dogs, how he selected them, cared for them and the differences between working sled dogs and race dogs. He told us about races he had run in the past and all of the preparation that goes into racing.
I was wondering if he could hear my wife and I asking questions and if we could hear his answers, especially with the dogs barking, but the communications were excellent both ways which made the hour go by fast. Half way through the ride, he stopped the team and we got to pet and interact with them all. He loves each dog and they love him, and for us dog lovers, we were in heaven.
As for Rod's, the reservation staff was friendly and efficient - in fact after such a great experience, we booked another event with them.
