This tour is authentic and unique. You will get to see real Alaskan race sled dogs perform and will learn to ride with them from the best in this traditional Alaskan sport. This dog sled tour will also get you deeper into the real wilderness and the world of Alaska dog mushing on a 10mile ride over tundra, forest and lake trails. You will quietly go to some amazing places. Enter a pristine environment you can only access in the winter when our tundra, wetlands, and lakes are frozen on this tour!

I had the most Amazing and Magical Time during my Sub-Arctic Wilderness Dog Mushing tour experience! "Andy"and "Jakob" were great hosts. Their services, magnificent dogs,hospitality, and kindness far exceeded my expectations. I did not want to leave...I fell in love with all those beautiful and sweet dogs, such great athletes! The property and homestead is exceptional. My experience at Goldstream Huskies was truly magnificent. I highly recommend this experience to Everyone. I would love to return again in the future, and will definitely make a point of that. I will forever cherish this memory in my heart! Patricia Alonso

I had so many favorite parts of my experience. From the scenic drive and pulling over to get pictures, to greeting the dogs and the friendliness of everyone there it was all awesome. Upon arrival I was suited up and the patience of them outfitting me was comical but successful. I went out to greet the dogs which was an experience, OMG they were so friendly and lovable. I watch as my guide prepared the dogs. The owner drove ahead on the snow machine and photographed me the entire way which I never expected but was elated by. I was a little frightened at first because they are fast but after a minute I was able to just enjoy the ride and I was better than I was hoping. Upon our return we sat around the table drinking coffee and talking, I felt like I was home. This experience is one I will cherish forever and I am so grateful that I chose Alaska Fishing and Raft Adventures. I would use them again anytime I return.

One of the most unique things you’ll ever do in your whole life! You will come to absolutely love this northern tough winter culture. Our mushing champion “guide” was Andy and he is from Bavaria originally. He came to Alaska because he said they had the best dogs. It was fabulous. Highly recommended -prepare for the cold- suggest Alaskaelement.com for this. Always wear your face mask the voice of experience.
