Experience the enchantment of Monument Valley and immerse yourself in the Navajo culture with a homegrown guide!

The Dreamcatcher tour package is a 4 hour evening Navajo guided tour. It starts with a 2.5 hour evening tour through the iconic landscape of Monument Valley and allows you to explore backcountry routes and restricted areas. After the evening tour a traditional Navajo dinner will await you deep in the valley close to Rain God Mesa. The tour will conclude with a special entertainment program during which you can enjoy some traditional dancing, chanting(singing), drumming and storytelling while sitting around a campfire under the stars.

Participation in the Dreamcatcher tour adventure offers the perfect way to learn about the Navajo culture and to experience all the beauty and magic of Monument Valley! During the 2.5 hour tour you will visit sites such as the amazing Big Hogan arch,  the Sun's Eye arch and ancient petroglyphs (rock art),  the Ear of the Wind arch, the famous Totem Pole and Yei bi chei rock formations, John Fords Point and many more. You will also visit a traditional Navajo Hogan where you can witness the Navajo prepare their wool and demonstrate their craft of rug weaving!  As the sun begins to fade in the west and the stars begin to fill the Monument Valley skies, you will then visit the scenic setting of Rain God Mesa where our Navajo cooks will prepare traditional Navajo tacos with homemade frybread and grill steaks over a campfire.This night you will be able to enjoy your dinner in the greatest outdoor setting you can imagine!  The evening will continue with a special Navajo cultural entertainment program. A Navajo dancer dressed in full regalia, will perform various dances while a master of ceremonies drums and chants and tells stories near an open campfire, and under a sky full of Monument Valley stars! This evening Dreamcatcher tour adventure with the Navajo guided valley tour, the special Navajo dinner and cultural entertainment has a total duration of four hours.

This tour was so much fun and a great learning experience. The guide, Cody was great and help us take great photographs! I highly recommend this tour!

Fabulous! Our sunset photo tour was great from the moment we met our guide, Donna. She was friendly, interesting, and thoughtful as she shared information about the geology, history, and her experiences guiding photographers and film crews through the valley. Donna led us at a comfortable attentive pace. Guiding us as we chased the light through areas we were unable to see on the self guided 17 mile drive. She noted when we wanted to capture a view and shared favorite spots with us. It was the most special experience of our Arizona Utah road trip. Thanks so much Donna

We booked this tour a few days out. Speaking to Ralph a co-owner felt like speaking to an old friend. He was both helpful and knowledgeable. The directions to where the tour left were accurate and easy to follow. The trucks are well used but do a good job and the guides (we had Cody) was personable, knowledgeable and very happy to take photos and suggest places to go (such as the ear of the wind). You get some appreciation of the size of Monument Valley on this tour. The dinner and cultural aspect of the tour is also well done (don’t expect toilets out there, it is remote). You return to the View Hotel around 8.30-9.00. It’s a long afternoon but definitely worth it!
