"Drink sir, is a great provoker..."

The stage is set in a hidden venue. Five professional actors meet as members of The Drunk Shakespeare Society. One of them has 5 shots of whiskey and then attempts to perform a major role in a Shakespearean play. Hilarity and mayhem ensue while the four sober actors try and keep the script on track. Every show is different depending on who is drinking... and what they're drinking!

Craft cocktails and food are served throughout the show. Running time is 90 minutes with no intermission. Drunk Shakespeare is on a limited run so get your tickets today! Entry is strictly 21+

Literally worth EVERY SINGLE PENNY! My fiance added this as a little in between Broadway shows and other high-ticket events and honestly this blew us away. The actors were fantastic -- the improv and audience engagement was superb -- and just an all around good time. We can't reccomend highly enough and will definitely be coming back ourselves next time we're in the city. F@!K BLUE MAN GROUP and ALL HAIL PRESTON the boi got DRUNK AF.

Had an amazing time there nice place although it is small so do arrive early for seating other than the room size again amazing the decor the hospitality the atmosphere of this place is welcoming you will not feel out of place at all the drinks are great and the acts are hilarious laughed the whole time drunken Shakespeare is worth the visit

Shakespeare would be pounding drinks until his death if he found out about this. The “actors” didn’t even try to stick to Shakespeare, but rather tragically dedicated their time on stage to undercooked jokes, irrelevant impressions, and outdated Internet references too often. Their crowd-work consisted of making fun of older audience members for no reason other than trying to be funny, but just being unnecessarily crude. And it wasn’t to emphasize the characters they were playing; in fact none of them ever even attempted to get into character fully, sort of awkwardly jutting their personal opinions on their own performances. Despite being the being the youngest person in the room by a lot I somehow aged a decade watching this show and feel stupid wasting my money. It felt as though I paid fifty bucks to watch people who peaked in high school who think they’re funny parade around and slap the word “Shakespeare” on it to get the attention they didn’t get from their parents growing up. New York is such a special city; to get a laugh, spend your money elsewhere. You can see entertaining drunk buffoonery for free on the street and save your money. I would recommend Washington. Square Park for instance.
