Horrible waste of money. I have ridden Pedro bikes when you put it in speed 5, you go 20 mph instantly. These bikes you peddle like like crazy to go 8 mph. You have to lean forward to reach the handle and your arms and back are so after a short ride. Good luck..gary

I'm so sorry to hear you didn't enjoy your e-bike experience. It sounds like the pedal assist wasn't turned on; our bikes also go 20 mph. Next time you're in the DC area, give us another chance with 2 free rentals, many bikes to choose from.

This experience was everything we expected and more. We thoroughly enjoyed our bike ride to Mt. Vernon and our time spent exploring this historical sight. The bikes were excellent but the customer service was THE BEST! Very accommodating, helpful and courteous. Our only regret is that we did not get there earlier so we would have had more time to ride and explore. Alexandria is such a beautiful place. We will return one day, rent bikes and spend more time riding around the city.

I was visiting the DC area without a car and wanted to cycle out to Mt Vernon - not so easy to get to with public transport. The Mt Vernon website suggested biking there along the Mt Vernon trail and pointed me to a bike rental place in Alexandria. But when I got to where they suggested, the shop was closed up and empty. I wandered around asking a few more bike shops, but none had any bikes to rent. By accident I stumbled across Strictly EBikes, and I was in luck. Not only were they super friendly and helpful, but they even cycled along with me to help me find the Mt Vernon trail. It was my first time ever riding an e-bike, and I admit I'm hooked. It was far easier and faster than a normal push bike, and what a great place to rent from. I can highly recommend them and will certainly use them again next time in the DC area.
