Nelson Ghost Town
Nelson, back in 1775, wasn't Nelson but was called Eldorado by the Spaniards who made the original discoveries of gold in this area that is now Eldorado Canyon. A hundred years later the prospectors and miners of the day took over and established the notorious Techatticup Mine. Disagreements over ownership, management, and labor disputes resulted in wanton killings so frequent as to be routine and ordinary. Despite the sinister reputation of the mine, it along with others in the town produced several million dollars in gold, silver, copper, and lead. But because of its location in the El Dorado Canyon, it was susceptible to flash flooding making it uninhabitable. The remaining weathered buildings, machinery, and Texaco station are what’s left of the boomtown.

Excellent tour. Comfortable & safe drive. Roberto was friendly & super knowledgeable; he kept us engaged the whole time. Would definitely recommend this tour.

Incredible places. Early in the day we were in Red Rock, I can guarantee that it is a simply incredible place, the Visitor Center is very well organized and extremely well maintained, from there you have an incredible view of the Park, the rock formations are absolutely beautiful, we got very close and sometimes we walk among the rocks. Then we went to the unmissable Sevem Magic Mountains, wonderful pictures. Third stop was in the charming Boulder City, there we had lunch and then ended with a flourish, in the incredible Hoover Dan. Very dynamic tour filled with lots of information from our very friendly guide Mr. Nelson. It was worth every penny we invested in this tour.
